TEMPLO
Offering his activities as a devotional service, Shatru, moved by his benevolence, shared his property with people having the same ideal, which provided the sprouting of a variety of activities linked to the Vedic culture and totally in harmony with the privileged natural environment of the farm. Shatru visioned Vrajabhumi as in a book: more than a geographical place, a state of mind. Nowadays, Shatru Kotivinasana's dream of more than 30 years is materializing through various activities with cultural and spiritual multiplicity, bringing balance and harmony among those that attend Vrajabhumi.
In 1965 a spiritual master leaves India, more specifically the city of Vrindavana in the north of India, and traveling in a freighter, disembarked in the USA. His divine grace A.C.BHAKTIVEDANTA SWAMI PRABHUPADA brings in his luggage the cream of Vedaic culture and books, which he translates into English in his mission to bring to the occident the culture and millenarian philosophy once the privilege of the most learned Hindu philosophers. In Central Park N.Y., in an appropriated environment together with the young and the underground-culture, Srila PRABHUPADA inspired hundreds of people to sing study and praise Krsna. Several temples and ashrams start to appear in the West in many countries. George Harrison from the Beatles creates in the outskirts of London, in a farm, a temple that exists until today. At the same time, in the mountains of Térésopolis, Rio de Janeiro, Sergio Leite Pereira purchase a land which he dedicates integrally to the Vaishnava studies. Sergio goes to meet PRABHUPADA in New York and receives from the master his spiritual initiation starting to use the name of SHATRU KOTIVINASANA DAS. SHATRU asks PRABHUPADA for a name to his farm in Térésopolis and PRABHUPADA, with eyes shut in meditation says: VRAJABHUMI…
Sacred place, where is Varsana, land of appearance of Krsna and Radharani. Shatru raised a temple in these now sacred lands. Since then, monks and spiritual people have made of Vrajabhumi a place of peace, love and spiritual growth, where one can realize and breathe the true sense of the word Bhakti Yoga. A place opened for the energy of a new age, the age of the golden avatar.
